Student Learning Outcomes Assessment and the Disciplinary Accrediting Organizations
Surveys the evaluative criteria for all of the disciplinary agencies that accredit at the bachelor's level. Agencies' function of requiring programs to articulate student learning outcomes; Conclusion that these agencies do provide information to assist programs with their assessment plans and processes; Finding that many accreditors give examples of either direct assessment methods or a combination of direct and indirect assessment methods for assessing student learning.
