Experienced Nurses are Welcomed into Refresher Programs, the Workforce
Abstract
The article focuses on the refresher programs offered by some universities for returning registered nurses in the U.S. It compares the programs offered by Boston College (BC), Kennesaw State University (KSU) and Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Association also known as Livingston VNA. It also highlights the personal accounts of some returning nurses who took up these programs as well as the views of some nursing professionals regarding the impact of these courses on the workforce.
