Abstract
Storytelling and myth are inextricably intertwined. Often considered as "sacred narrative" or "culturally important stories" such definitions of myth demonstrate that even though mythemes (essential kernels of myth) may be carried by images, such as paintings and sculptures, myth itself presupposes and requires narrative.
