Public accounting has acquired a new look in the last decade. The elimination of the ban against advertising and solicitation has affected the way accountants do business. Firms on national, regional and local levels, for example, now place advertisements in newspapers, magazines and, occasionally, on radio. Competition has become a watchword for the CPA.
