Description
This presentation focuses on Got Resources?, the program I run to share OERs available on Tennessee State University’s website with the general public. Upon discovering that an individual does not need to be affiliated with Tennessee State University to gain access to these types of resources through its library, it has been a passion of mine to make the public aware of what we provide for them.
I hold this program monthly at a local church that is very supportive of research and education. During each session, I show the attendees how to access different OERs via our website. I then walk the attendees through navigating the OER I have selected for that session so they will feel comfortable using it for their own personal research at home. During this presentation, I will explain what inspired Got Resources?, how it is run, and give a brief demonstration of a program session. Thus, this presentation will serve to provide attendees with an understanding of how to share these resources with the public.
The goal of my presentation is to provide attendees with an understanding of how OERs make it possible for some college resources to be utilized by everyone.
