Abstract

The article encourages the members of the Georgia Library Association (GLA) to suggest programming ideas for the 2007 GLA Midwinter Conference and to talk to legislators about the needs of libraries. The conference will be held in Jekyll Island while the Library Day at the Capitol will be held in February. The move of public library directors to tell a senator about the amount of book money that public libraries were allocated prompted the appropriation of extra $2 million to public libraries.
