Abstract

The article discusses the European Union's (EU) promotion of antitrust rules and practices in developing countries as of June 2012, focusing on the E.U.'s use of bilateral and regional agreements to encourage other nations to align their antitrust rules with those of the EU. Several agreements forged between the EU and the BRIC countries such as Brazil and the Russian Federation are examined.
