Student Learning Outcomes Assessment and the Disciplinary Accrediting Organizations
- Surveys the evaluative criteria for all of the disciplinary agencies that accredit at the bachelor's level. Agencies' function of requiring programs to articulate student learning outcomes; Conclusion that these agencies do provide information to assist programs with their assessment plans and processes; Finding that many accreditors give examples of either direct assessment methods or a combination of direct and indirect assessment methods for assessing student learning.
