Abstract

The article focuses on the development of school-based sexuality education program in Georgia. Teen pregnancy rate and sexually transmitted infections in Georgia remain to be one of the highest in the nation. Approaches such as Abstinence-Until-Marriage Education, Abstinence-Based Education, and Comprehensive Sexuality Education in implementing the program is presented. Members of the curriculum development team involves various individuals such as teachers, parents, religious leaders, and the youth being the ultimate end user.
