Abstract

City planners are basically responsible for the optimal utilization of land and infrastructure. Effective comprehensive planning implies the need for a degree of knowledge in economics and statistical methods. However, few city planners have extensive quantitative knowledge that will facilitate and optimize the planning process. Relating economics with other disciplines will enable a generalist approach to any profession.
