Animated Database Courseware (ADBC): Database Design, SQL, Transactions and Security
Abstract
Many concepts are difficult to convey in traditional classroom lecture mediums. This is true with many database concepts. One way to supplement classroom teaching is through the use of software animations. This workshop will demonstrate how Animated Database Courseware (ADbC) might be incorporated into a database course. ADbC is an on going project funded by NSF-CCLI [grant # 0717707]. The project includes the development of several animations covering a wide variety of database concepts including database design, SQL, transactions processing and database security.
