Abstract
Guest speakers add excitement and interest, but when instructors regularly teach the same class, they find it difficult to ask business associates to keep coming back. An assignment which allows students to bring in guest speakers has helped me overcome this problem. I have found students eager and resourceful. The assignment requires students to make an initial contact, introduce the speaker to the class, and write a thank you letter.
