Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the curriculum in Japan as a guide for the U.S. and Canada. It notes that the Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science and Technology has published national courses of study for every subject area in Japanese. It mentions that Japan's Ministry of Education balances that doing and understanding in their curriculum. It cites that U.S. and Canadians teachers deserve similar to Japan's curriculum to guide their planning and instruction.
