Race, Representation and Global Justice

The African and African Diaspora Studies program invites you to participate in the 7th Annual AADS Student Research and Engagement Conference. The conference is expected to have more than 400 attendees throughout the day who will visit panel presentations, roundtable discussions, and keynote speeches. In addition to the many scholars and community leaders, the conference will also feature exhibitors, a Caribbean buffet-style dinner, and a hip hop afterparty.

Persons interested in presenting a paper or panel should submit an abstract, not to exceed two (2) pages.

Subjects may include, but are not limited to: literature, demographics, history, politics, economics, education, health care, fine arts, religion, social sciences, business, peace studies, architecture, and many other subjects so long as Africa or the African diaspora is represented in your work.

Should you have any questions, contact the editor at amurph18@kennesaw.edu.

You will be notified of acceptance by email.

All papers accepted for presentation in the Conference will be eligible for publication in a subsequent edition of a peer-reviewed journal, making this an even more amazing opportunity for young scholars to develop their resumes and build their experience in the profession.

Deadline for submission of proposals is January 31st, 2015.
